Is there a chance that aqara will listen to user requests? For example, the w500 thermostat

What needs to be added to the aqara w500:

  1. changing the ntc algorithm. Currently, it is impossible to use the graph due to large temperature fluctuations. This applies to both the default sensor and alternative sensors.
  2. there is no way to use temperature indicators separately. For example, you can display the internal temperature of the device on the screen, but use the ntc or external sensor data for automation. Alternatively, you can use the opposite approach. This also applies to the w100.
  3. it is not possible to combine into groups or synchronize multiple w500s.
  4. it is not possible to use the on/off trigger of the power relay in automations (there is information that this will be fixed).
  5. there is no access to the temperature log. In the current version, the log only records changes in the target temperature.
  6. it is not possible to use alternative conditions for the same device in automations. For example, it is not possible to set a temperature range by specifying two conditions: temperature above 10 degrees and temperature below 25 degrees.
  7. The information on the device card in the app needs to be adjusted. For example, there is no information about whether the relay is on or off, but there is less valuable information about whether the screen is on or off. The font size for the temperature is unreasonably small.
  8. It is difficult to visually determine whether the heating is on or off on the device card. The color indication of the status should be more vibrant. For example, a small tile could display the status of the relay in a similar way to the T2 relay (blue background for off, light background for on).
  9. on the w500 screen, when it is turned off, it would be possible to display something useful instead of “off”, such as the temperature.

For what it’s worth I’ve made several requests to the support channel and to this forum and aqara has implemented none of them. I’ve never actually seen any evidence of them adding features to a product after it was released. They only make bug fixes and then work on the next hardware revision of the product instead.

Here are my list of software bugs/features I requested for reference

  1. W100 no temperature setpoint automation triggers
  2. H1 Wall Switches no neutral not exposed over matter
  3. T2 Relay misses state trigger in push button mode
  4. E1 radiator thermostat percentage (not temperature control)
  5. T1/T2 Relay enforce lockout in hardware
  6. Expose smoke alarm siren to automations

Can anyone provide an example of aqara adding a new feature to a device after launch (except for automations 2.0)? I don’t think it’s their policy to do this.

Probably only fp2 got a lot of improvements and refinements. I don’t know who this mighty man is, but thank him for that, I hope he will see my message about w500
