I’m in need of a thermostat with a remote sensor that works with Home Assistant. How long do I have to wait? Are there any other thermostat’s I should consider while waiting?

In the meantime, you might consider the Aqara Radiator Thermostat E1, which supports receiving temperature readings from external Aqara Temperature and Humidity Sensors or TVOC Air Quality Monitors, even in HomeKit. Another option is the Aqara Radiator Thermostat W600, which supports associating external temperature and humidity sensors. Both could be compatible with Home Assistant through their supported protocols (Zigbee 3.0 or Thread for W600).
