Light Switch H2 EU as a wireless switch in a two-way controller

I have a room with a two-way lighting setup. I’ve installed an Aqara H2 switch on one side, connecting its L and L1 terminals. On the other side, I have a second Aqara H2 switch (2 buttons, 1 channel) that I intend to use wirelessly. However, at this second location, I only have L and L1 wires available, and the L1 is already connected to the first switch. This means the second switch isn’t receiving power because it lacks a neutral connection. I’m wondering if there’s a method to simulate an L1 connection, perhaps by adding a resistor to the L1 terminal."

The best way for you is to do laboratory work and check it yourself. I have a group of lamps (6 pcs) divided into two switches, for stable operation I connected only one capacitor to one arm. The button where there is no capacitor still works. I think that the power supply to the switch will still be if one of the arms has a load (I’m talking about a switch where there is no zero)

Thank you.

In my case, I have only the L and not the L1 on the switch.

I am not sure how they work with H2 switches, how they can power themselves without the neutral or battery.

I am not sure I can do something in my case

I’m talking about a capacitor that will constantly provide power to the H2 switch. It should be placed near the light bulb on the ceiling.

got it.
I tried connecting both but as soon the S1 switch on, because on the S2 there will be no ΔV, it turns off.

With the capacitor this shouldn’t happen.

What capacitor did you use for you, I have no idea where to start

Do you mean like this?

Hello.
Theoretically, at this point in the H2 switch, voltage is supplied through the capacitor to power the switch (constant power for the operation of the control and management system). You can experiment to see which point of the switch (1 or 2) you need to supply the wire from the capacitor to make the switch work when the light is off (load on the lamp).
Search for the type of capacitor on the Internet, there are many suggestions there.

thank you!

Just to be clear, both switches are H2, I just want to use one of them in “wireless” mode for a two-way set-up.

I will try :crossed_fingers:

That’s how I understood it, so I adjusted your scheme for your situation :slightly_smiling_face:
