Hey everyone, I’m diving into the world of smart irrigation and I’m pretty excited to see what I can come up with. I don’t have an existing irrigation system, so I’m starting from scratch. Most of the solutions I’ve come across seem to rely on an existing controller, but I’m not seeing any obvious options for a ground-up setup that’s compatible with SmartThings. I’m assuming I’ll need some sort of system that can relay an electrical signal to mechanically turn a valve on or off, but is there more to it? I’m not afraid of getting my hands dirty, whether that means soldering or coding. I’m really looking for any recommendations or lists of setups that have worked for others. If anyone has experience with this or knows of a reliable system, I’d love to hear about it! Thanks in advance for any help or guidance you can provide.
