I have the Aqara G4 doorbell, and I know it’s possible to link it with the Aqara U200 smart lock so that when someone rings the doorbell, I can unlock the door directly.
However, I keep getting a message saying I need to enable the unlocking feature. I already did that under the Door Lock Working Mode settings.
Unfortunately, the message doesn’t go away, and the function doesn’t seem to work. Am I doing something wrong?
I’m also using the M100 hub.
Thanks!
@shiv_bhasin86 It sounds like you’re on the right track with linking your Aqara G4 doorbell to the U200 smart lock. Let’s see if we can iron out the issue.
Firstly, ensure that the remote unlocking feature is enabled on your U200 smart lock. The U200 supports remote functionalities when bound to the Aqara Hub M3, but you mentioned you’re using the M100 hub. This might be a point to verify since compatibility could vary.
Here’s a quick checklist to follow:
-
Enable Remote Unlocking: Make sure your U200 is set up for remote unlocking. Double-check your hub compatibility in the Aqara Home app.
-
Link Door Lock with Doorbell: In the G4 Doorbell settings, navigate to More Settings > Associated Device Control. Ensure the door lock device card is enabled here.
-
App Configuration: Open the Aqara Home app and head to Accessories > G4 > Device Setting > Linked Device Control. Select your U200 model to ensure it’s properly linked.
-
Notifications and Control: When the doorbell is pressed, ensure you’re receiving notifications. On the video live page, you should find a “Link” tab to unlock the door.
If these steps don’t resolve the issue, it might be worth checking again if the M100 hub supports all required features for the U200. Additionally, make sure your firmware is up-to-date for both devices.
Feel free to share any more details or questions you might have! If the issue persists, it could be beneficial to reach out to the Aqara Customer Service Team for a more tailored troubleshooting approach.
