Hi everyone! I’m in the process of setting up my living room lighting and wanted to share my experience and gather some tips from the community.
I’ve been using my basement as a ‘rave cave’ with some cool lights, but now I’m looking for something more sophisticated for my living room. I stumbled upon the Lyra floor lamp and the String downlights, and I’m really torn between the two. I think I’ll go with one type of light that can really make a statement, so I want to make sure I choose the right one.
For those of you who’ve tried the Lyra floor lamp, how has it held up over time? Does it provide enough ambient lighting for a cozy living room vibe? And for the String downlights, are they easy to install and maintain? I’d love to hear about your experiences and any tips you have for setting them up.
I’ve also been experimenting with voice controls for my lights. Using Alexa to turn on specific scenes has been a game-changer, but I’ve noticed that saying “Alexa, turn on all the lights” can sometimes lead to a chaotic light show. Has anyone found a good workaround for this? I’d love to hear your suggestions!
If anyone has any other lighting recommendations or setup tips, I’m all ears! Let’s make our living rooms as cozy and stylish as possible. ![]()
