Just installing a new kitchen and looking for an LED Strip solution that will run around the kitchen.
All my switches and bulbs in the kitchen are Aqara. I do have other T1 LED Strips elsewhere in the house, but these are quite old tech now and require the controller to be near the strip and run off a 3 pin UK socket that’s bulky.
So I’m looking around to see if there are alternative solutions that would integrate well with Aqara (Matter) or I do also run homeassistant.
Looking to have RGB+White strips and maybe individually addressable (not sure if I’ll use it but wanting them to be future proof).
Found solutions like Phoscon FLS-M that appear to integrate to Aqara, but really interested in seeing what others are using.
I’ve now installed the T1 Led strips to the top side of my top cabinet lights, I don’t currently have an image but I’ll try to take one this evening to get the best effect.
It all depends on use case, for example my under counter ones are HUE, but I only got hue because for zigbee2mqtt their bulbs and strips are like super zigbee routers for range and amount of non powered devices that can connect to them.
For addressible I would alway side on the side of wled because of the options you have with it.
For example one thing I do in the kitchen is use zones in the fp2, basically have the under counter lights following me around the kitcken. I also make use of a vibration sensor under the worktop were chopping is done, so that if it detects vibration for more than a few seconds it swiches on the under counter light in that corner to 100% white rather than the slightly warm its on std.
With argb you also have to take note the white will not be as bright.
