I’m just starting out and was wondering as I have a few new purchases like Aqara doorbell, bulbs, door and window sensors and a smoke alarm and I’m sure I will get more along the way, but am I right in thinking that if I link all to the M1S gen 2 hub which is WiFi that it will only register as one running from WiFi or will they all be running off the WiFi separately as I don’t want to slow it down. Or is there a better option to make my home smarter linking these together? So it doesn’t drain the WiFi
The M1S gen2 is a Zigbee hub which communicates between the added Aqara devices by zigbee protocol . So no really problem to your existing WiFi .
Btw if you expand your smarthome later, your M1S works just as a Matter bridge , not as a Controller.
