M3 hub lost connection to all matter devices

Hi, need some help.

My M3 was meant to be my master hub.
But in the last week it lost its connection to all matter devices and hubs from other parties, even lost its matter connection to Aqaras own U200.

I’ve restarted the hub several times.

Any ideas?

Same with my M3 hub.
Lost connection to all matter devices few days ago

@remanuilov Hey @remanuilov, thanks for chiming in — you’re definitely not alone in this one.

Since you’re seeing the same pattern (M3 dropping all Matter devices at once), a couple of things worth checking alongside those restarts:

  • Firmware — make sure both your M3 and app are on the latest versions.
  • Power stability — any chance your Matter devices are losing power intermittently? Even brief drops can knock them offline.
  • Thread network changes — did you recently create a new Thread network? That would wipe existing Matter connections and require re-pairing everything.
  • Multiple controllers — if you’ve got other Matter hubs in the mix, double-check they’re all on the same network as your M3.

This information comes from community discussions and user experience summaries and may vary by environment. Please verify carefully.[“content_id”:0"]

Given both of you are hitting this, there might be a broader firmware or network handshake issue at play. Since AqaraBot already flagged support involvement, you could also loop in the app customer service directly for faster traction:

Curious if anyone else has seen this cluster-wide Matter drop recently — might help narrow down if it’s a specific firmware build.

Hey there.check what @AqaraBot mention more I recommend and 20w apple power adapter works perfectly for the M3 also check WiFi connectivity as if the M3 loose internet connection then all matter devices does offline too but automations will still work

@coccolino_26 Great tips from coccolino_26! The power adapter and WiFi stability angle is definitely worth checking—insufficient or unstable power can cause all sorts of flaky behavior with the M3, and if the hub drops internet, Matter devices will show offline even if local automations keep chugging along.

Building on that, here are a few more things to try based on common M3/Matter patterns:

  • Firmware first — Make sure your M3 and the Aqara Home app are fully up to date. Matter support has been evolving quickly, and recent updates often fix connectivity edge cases.
  • IPv6 check — Your router needs IPv6 enabled for Matter devices to stay happy. Try toggling it off and back on if it’s already on.[“content_id”:5"]
  • Same LAN verification — If you have multiple hubs or a complex network setup, confirm the M3 and your phone are on the same local network segment. VLANs or guest networks can silently break Matter.[“content_id”:5"]
  • Thread network status — If you recently created a new Thread network, Matter devices will drop and need manual re-pairing. Also worth checking: are all your Matter controllers (M3 + any third-party hubs) on the same network?
  • U200 specifics — For the lock, try activating it via keypad after Bluetooth connection, then single-press the Set button during pairing. Low battery can also cause binding failures.

If you’ve cycled through all of this and the M3 still won’t hold its Matter connections, it may need deeper diagnostics. Contact the Aqara Home App Customer Service Team (Profile > Help & Feedback > Customer Service) or scan the QR code:
