M3 hub problems

Hello, firstly I am sorry if this is not the right place to post this.

I am at a loss. About a year ago I purchased the M3 hub as well as several matter sensors. P2 window and door, P2 motion sensors, U300 door lock…etc etc.
I tried connecting these things to the hub but I kept getting the same screen over and over again:

I tried contacting Aqara and after several back and forth emails they ended up sending me a replacement hub, of which that didn’t solve the problem. So I gave up on it. I was able to use these devices in my ecosystem (Applehome) but wasn’t able to really tinker with settings in the Aqara home app.

Fast forward to today, I just bought and installed the U400 door lock and it works great but it needs to connect to my matter controller…which I can’t configure (see above image)

I am beyond frustrated with this.
I even went and bought a new iPhone recently and it’s still the same problem.
I will also mention that both the wireless hub, and my phone are on the same wifi network, so I have no idea what the problem is.

Please, any help would be appreciated.

Hello, welcome to the forum.

I had a similar situation when testing the U200 lock. What helped me was deleting the Thread that was on the M3 gateway at that time and creating a new Thread. I also enabled V6 internal internet on the router. Try this too, maybe it will help.

Thank you for the advice.
However it still gave me the same problem.

What is the root cause of this issue that is making my hub and phone seemingly not on the same wifi network, but they actually are?

Maybe you have VPN turned on?

I am pretty sure I don’t.

But, where would I find those settings to check?
Is that a phone setting or a router setting?

Setting routers.

Another possible option is that your router has subnets. The gateway is in one subnet and the phone is in another.

I stumbled upon the solution. After all this time, it was just a simple toggle that needed to be turned on. I feel like such a fool.

So, in the app settings on my iPhone, for the Aqara app the LAN was turned off.

I turned that on and now everything works as it should. I’m not sure when it was turned off, or what but it’s working now.
Thankfully.

What a simple and silly thing. Again, I feel like a fool.

Thank you for your help, I greatly appreciate it.

Sometimes when repairing a TV, you need to check if there is voltage in the outlet
