M3 upgrade from M2

I have an M3 hub just waiting to burst out of the box :slight_smile:

Any guides on moving from M2 to M3? Ideally a smooth upgrade guide, rather not rebuild everything from scratch but have seen some post recommending this.

Any pointers/advice/guidance appreciated.

I really want to tell you that the “migration function” works well.

In my case (switching from M2 to M3), unfortunately, it didn’t work so well. It’s probably the same as the “restore” function in Windows.

Yes, you don’t have to start from scratch again. But it would be better.

Examples of problems I had: Long loading times in the app (which then disappeared without an interim update).

E1 thermostats could not be reliably activated or needed the same command twice.

For me it was a downgrade. I lost the ability to control my TV and AC with the M3 when converted from M2. Aqara was no help
