M3 won't connect to an Eero network

M3 hub has been solid from day one for a very long time. Upgraded my Eero network to eero OS v7.12.3-101 and the M3 dropped off the network. I can not get it reconnected to the network. Keeps timinng out. Getting the same time out issue with E1 camera. The message is that the device failed to bind.

Anyone having the same issue with any of the their Aqara devices on an Eero network?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

@earroyo Sorry to hear about the connectivity trouble with your M3 hub and E1 camera after the Eero OS upgrade, Edgar. Let’s try some targeted troubleshooting steps based on common network-related issues with Aqara hubs:

First, reset the M3 hub to clear any lingering network configurations: Press and hold the hub’s button for more than 10 seconds until the yellow/red light flashes quickly, then attempt reconnection. This can resolve temporary network glitches from router updates.

Next, check your Eero router settings—upgrades sometimes tweak network parameters. Ensure:

  • The Wi-Fi name/password doesn’t contain special characters (e.g., emojis, symbols), as these can block Aqara devices from binding.
  • AP isolation or Wi-Fi anti-leeching features are disabled (these might prevent the hub from communicating with your phone on the local network).
  • The router supports IPv6 (required for M3 connectivity).

Also, try restarting both the Eero router and M3 hub, then keep the hub close to the router during reconnection—proximity helps with initial setup stability. For the E1 camera, similar network checks (Wi-Fi settings, router restart) may apply, as connection timeouts often stem from the same network environment.
