M410 Home Station… Will It?

Pretty excited about the new Aqara products on the horizon. Can’t wait to get rid of my Ecobees (Looking at you W200!)

One device I don’t see getting much mention is the M410 Home Station. Maybe nobody knows, maybe nobody cares or maybe other products are stealing the spotlight. However, this is the one device I’m most excited for… if… it does what I’m hoping it will do.

Ya see, I was really looking forward to the G5 Pro but was instantly turned off by its lack of 24/7 recording. Never even purchased a single G5 Pro unit and it pains me that I’ve waited that long for a proper outdoor Aqara camera that lacked a key feature I require. I don’t have the time nor the interest in purchasing a NAS and jumping through hoops to try to figure out something that should’ve been included in a pricey PoE camera to begin with. Besides, I want those recordings available in the app like the rest of my Aqara cameras.

My hope is that the M410 will solve this problem. They only mentioned it paired with the upcoming G510, from what I saw.

Will it? Thoughts? Insights? Release of the M410 time frame?

My guess is it’s still in early development. Very little was shared about it at CES.

I’m interested in how this new product will tie into Aqara products too. I’m hoping it’s simple and the software is mature.

I have a feeling it won’t be inexpensive though.

Yeah, that’s what I’m saying. Not really being talked about. It caught my attention right away though.

Yeah, Base stations generally aren’t cheap but I’m willing to pay if it does what I need it to. Heck, I would’ve paid a subscription for 24/7 recording on the G5. I want all my cameras under one roof and Aqara checks all the boxes except for this one little box.
