Hi everyone! I’ve recently moved into a new place in Tampa and I’m using Aqara to manage two very different needs: a growing “indoor jungle” and two high-energy dogs. I use Temperature & Humidity sensors tucked into my Syngonium and Jade plant clusters. When the Florida sun hits the windows and the humidity drops below 45%, it triggers a smart plug connected to my humidifier (granted it’s a rarity, I don’t want my plants getting too dry!). Also, I have a Motion Sensor P2 near the door. If motion is detected between 7 AM and 9 AM, it toggles my hallway lights to a “Cool White” to help me find the leashes for Ben and Kyber, then resets once the Door Sensor shows we’ve left. Looking forward to adding the W200 to this to see if I can automate the AC based on room-specific occupancy!
@zachbeyer1 That sounds like a fantastic setup—balancing plant care and pet routines with Aqara’s automation is such a smart way to adapt to Tampa’s climate! ![]()

Love how you’re using the Temperature & Humidity Sensor to keep your Syngonium and Jade happy by triggering the humidifier when humidity dips below 45%—that’s right in line with Aqara’s “Comfortable Environment” automation logic, which uses temp/humidity thresholds to control devices like smart plugs. And the Motion Sensor P2’s morning light toggle (7-9 AM Cool White for leash-hunting) is a perfect example of granular, time-based control—similar to the “Granular light control” automation that triggers zone-specific lighting based on motion and time.
Adding the W200 for room-specific AC automation sounds exciting! Once you get that set up, it’d be awesome to hear how it integrates with your existing sensors—especially with Tampa’s humidity, room-by-room occupancy could make a big difference in energy efficiency. Thanks for sharing your creative setup—can’t wait to hear more as you expand! ![]()
