Matter support for old devices

Hi Peng.

I have noticed that my ‘Smart Wall Switch H1’ (connected to M3 hub) are not exported over matter. They are not visible in Google Home for example.

Will this be fixed?

Would love to see the Opple series also!

Google Home support for Matter sometimes lack features, they don’t support buttons for instance so the Wireless Remote Switch H1 would not work.

Did you try in other platforms? Maybe it’s even a problem updating the list of bridged devices, apparently people can use the H1 in other platforms bridged via Matter.

It’s not the H1 wireless remote switch H1, its the electrical switch one. I’ll update my post to be more specific.

Yeah, I mentioned the remote just in case. In reddit there’s people using the H1 EU model via Matter in Apple Home, also people with the H1 3-rocker not being able to use it via Matter. Maybe it depends on the specific variant / region and some models are bridged and others are not. Hopefully you’ll get an official answer!

Interesting, thanks. It’s the 3-rocker variant. Do you mind linking me to the thread in reddit? @Peng FYI

Sure thing: https://www.reddit.com/r/Aqara/comments/1hfq0dp/issue_with_h1_3rocker_switches_not_showing_in/

Are we being neglected?

It’s 11/11, still not a single response from Aqara despite the huge promises to get this working in Q3 2025!!! I’m really thinking of just giving away my old Aqara devices for other Tuya counterparts that proved to work without begging.

Never believe promises.

Please let us know which version of the firmware those will be in

Hello , Guys, a little patience and everything will be fine.

Agreed. And so does regular updates on this matter, it won’t hurt.

I’ve just updated my M2 hub to 4.5.20 and the B1 Curtain motor is now exposed over Matter. The only issue? no battery reporting. I’ve also noticed my T2 relays now show power consumption over Matter (shame it’s not per channel, but I think that’s a limitation of the hardware)

Hey this is promising. When did this update become available? I don’t own an M2 (currently using M100 and E1) so I can’t test it. Do you also know from what firmware version did you update?

Still hoping Aqara team would respond. I have invested too much on these devices and planning to install them once I ensure Matter support is coming so I can develop my dashboards for guests and family members.

I also received a new update for my Hub M2 (from 4.3.8_0021.0652 to 4.5.20_0023.0652). After the update, I can see all my wall switch D1, wireless switch D1, and H1 20A switch (SEA version) exposed over Matter. Only the H1 has Energy/Power info.
This update is probably new because when I checked last week, it was not there.
