@iEnam You seem to be facing issues pairing the Meross M605 Matter Presence Sensor with your Aqara M3 hub. Let’s try some targeted troubleshooting steps based on common Matter pairing scenarios:
First, ensure both your Aqara Home app and M3 hub firmware are updated to the latest versions. Outdated software can often cause compatibility hiccups with Matter devices.
Next, check the Thread network status of your M3 hub in the Aqara Home app. Go to the hub’s details page and verify if a Thread network is successfully generated. If the Thread Network field is blank, you won’t be able to add Matter devices—try creating a new Thread network for the M3 hub (note: this will require resetting existing Matter devices connected to it).
Since you mentioned the sensor pairs with Google Home, it’s also worth confirming that your M3 hub and phone are connected to the same local area network. Sometimes network segmentation can interfere with Matter pairing.
If these steps don’t resolve the issue, you can contact the Aqara Home App Customer Service Team (Profile> Help & Feedback > Customer Service) or scan the QR code:
Unfortunately, it is still not working
I believe it is due to updated Matter stack v1.5 as it did originally work few months back with my first Meross MS605 sensor.
It must have stopped working after updating Aqara M3 firmware (possibly with updated Matter stack!).
I also have the same issue with Hubitat C8 Pro - it works with software version before updating to Matter stack v1.5, and does not work when updated to latest firmware.
Hubitat team have ordered the sensor and will fix soon hopefully.
