Migrating from C-8 to C-8 Pro: A Frustrating Journey

As I prepared to upgrade my smart home system, I decided to migrate from my trusty C-8 Hub to the newer C-8 Pro. The migration process seemed straightforward, especially since I had a cloud backup ready. However, things took a frustrating turn once the migration was complete.

After setting up the C-8 Pro, I noticed that all my devices—Z-Wave, Zigbee, and virtual ones alike—were stuck in a ‘read-only’ mode. No matter how I tried to adjust their settings, nothing changed. Logs showed the commands being sent but no response from the devices. It was as if the hub had become a spectator rather than an active controller.

I retried the migration, reset the hub, and even restored from a local backup, all to no avail. The devices remained unresponsive. This issue not only affected my ability to control my smart home but also disrupted integrations with third-party services like Hue, Netatmo, and Ring. WebCore, which I rely on for automation, wouldn’t even start properly.

I’m reaching out to the community in hopes that someone has encountered a similar issue or can offer a solution. Has anyone successfully migrated from the C-8 to the C-8 Pro without running into these problems? Any insights or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help!
