Migrating from Shell Plus 2 PM Relay

Hello readers.
My first post here, and I could use some help.
I am currently using a Shelly Pus 2PM relay that is wired and controlling a 2-speed exhaust fan (a perilex plug system) and want to to replace it with the Shelly Dual relay T2.
I am not clear what a wet / dry contact is - and could anyone help me, which wire goes were on the new T2 contacts?

@pg_registrations Hello and welcome to the forum!

It’s great that you’re making the switch to the Aqara Dual Relay Module T2. I understand that the concept of wet and dry contacts can be a bit confusing at first. Here’s a simplified explanation:

  • Wet Contact Mode: In this mode, the relay provides direct power to the device. For the Dual Relay Module T2, terminals LIN and LOUT must be shorted with the provided red jumper wire. The load wires of the light connect to terminals L1 and L2, while S1, S2, and COM are connected to a conventional switch.

  • Dry Contact Mode: This mode is used when the relay is just sending a signal to another device without supplying power. For this setup, the jumper wire between LIN and LOUT should be removed. The load wires can be connected to terminals L1 and L2 (optional), and the COM of the controlled device connects to the Relay’s LOUT terminal.

For your specific requirement of controlling a 2-speed exhaust fan, you would need to determine whether your fan requires power from the relay (wet contact) or just a signal (dry contact). If it’s a perilex plug system, you’ll likely need to connect using the appropriate terminals based on the fan’s power and control needs.

Make sure to refer to the Aqara Dual Relay Module T2 user manual for detailed wiring instructions and to ensure safety during installation. Feel free to share more about your setup or ask further questions. We’re here to help!

That does not help at all. This is a cut/paste text from some other site, without providing any intelligent answer. What model are you using?
