Migrating Z-Wave Devices from SmartThings to Hubitat: A Smooth Transition

Hey everyone, I’ve been using Hubitat for a few months now and I’m really enjoying the flexibility and control it offers compared to my previous setup with SmartThings. However, one challenge I’ve faced is migrating my existing Z-Wave devices. I recently lost the Z-Wave stick that came with my Hubitat hub, and I’m now on a quest to find the best replacement and figure out the best way to add my devices back into the system.

I’ve heard great things about the AEON Labs Z-Wave USB Stick and the Z-Wave.Me Z-Wave+ USB Stick, but I’m not entirely sure which one would be the best fit for my setup. Does anyone have experience with these sticks and could share their thoughts?

Another thing I’m curious about is the process of adding devices back into Hubitat. I remember that with SmartThings, it was pretty straightforward, but I’m not entirely sure how it works with Hubitat. Is there a specific method or tool that makes this process easier?

I’d also love to hear from others who’ve gone through a similar migration. What were your biggest challenges, and how did you overcome them? Any tips or tricks would be incredibly helpful as I navigate this transition.

Looking forward to hearing from the community and learning from your experiences! :raised_hands:
