Missing Apple Home notifications (G410 doorbell)

My G410 doorbell was working perfectly yesterday but then it randomly stopped picking up movement within my activity zone. I’ve made no changes and no updates have been applied as far as I know. I’ve restarted both the battery powered doorbell and the hub but that hasn’t helped. Even redrawing the activity zone hasn’t made any difference.

I still receive a notification when someone rings the bell but it doesn’t trigger for any movement within the defined activity zone.

Any ideas or suggestions?

@bhavesh_devji Let’s troubleshoot the movement detection issue step by step. First, check if your doorbell is in Power Saving Mode. In this mode, the doorbell only activates recording when the button is pressed or video is accessed via the app—switching to Normal Mode should enable the proximity activation sensor to detect movement.

Next, verify if the cloud recording switch in the loitering detection settings is turned on. Sometimes this switch might accidentally get toggled off, which would prevent motion-triggered recordings.

Additionally, take a look at the detection interval setting in loitering detection. If the interval is set too long, it might delay or miss triggering for movement in the activity zone. Adjusting it to a more appropriate duration could help.

Let me know if these steps resolve the issue—happy to help further if needed

How did you get on with this? Did you manage to fix it?
