I am missing the Device Mode (dry and wet contact) in which the switch positions are mapped 1:1 to the relay outputs—meaning that Relay 1 (Relay 2) should be active for as long as, and only as long as, S1 (S2) is switched on.
Would be a nice option for a firmware update.
You mean there should be a mixed dry contact mode? Like a hybrid of those two modes - one channe works as on/off dry, second as pulse dry?
If yes, then I think it’s a really good idea
Hello, and welcome to the forum. The hardware of this relay cannot meet your requirements. There is only one common contact, which serves both power relays inside the T2 unit. If the device had two independent contacts—one for each relay—then your proposal could be implemented.
In dry contact mode, L1 and L2 can still be independently turned on, the power is just relayed from LOUT. But it still has two gates - L1 and L2.
So at a glance I don’t see a technical limitation - for example, in this “mixed” mode the power will be still relayed from LOUT, just LOUT-L1 would be a pulse dry contact, and LOUT-L2 a on/off dry contact (or the other way around).
Or maybe I’m wrong and internally there is a different fuse/circuit for pulse and on/off, which prevents this?
