Mixing U200 and U200 lite

Hey folks!

I have two doors, one is my front door, the other is to a storage closet outside. The storage closet one has a US style deadbolt, while the main door has an EU style (specifically Scandi) mechanism.

I decided to buy one U200 kit and one U200 lite kit, with the intent that I’d use the U200 kit on my main door, and put the U200 lite on my closet door, as it doesn’t need a keypad.

Unfortunately, this plan fell apart when I discovered that the U200 lite doesn’t let you select US deadbolt style as the lock type for some reason, even though the U200 itself looks exactly the same. Fine, I thought, I’ll just put the U200 lite on my main door and the U200 on the closet door. But now I can’t seem to find a way to reassociate the keypad from the U200 to the lite. I’d also be fine with having the keypad simply unlock both locks (they’re near each other), but can’t seem to find a way to do that either.

So, what do I do here? Do I need to return the lite and buy a second full U200 kit even though I don’t need the second keypad, or is there another path? Alternatively, is there a way to buy just a keypad? And bonus points for anyone who can explain why the lite doesn’t allow US style or why the keypad can’t be disassociated.

Hope you can help!

Hello, you were unable to connect the keyboard. You need to purchase a different lock.
Just so you understand, the keyboard and the lock are one (inseparable). Therefore, replacement is impossible from a security point of view of unauthorized access.

It’s exactly like @gafich10 said ! The keypad is only connected to the origin U200 - so no way to learn on or reconnect to another device

Ah, that’s a shame, but okay. My only other recourse then would be if I could use the Lite upside-down (US lock style). Any idea why Lite doesn’t allow you to do that?

No, these are product certification conditions.

But aren’t the U200 and U200 lite mechanisms identical, they just come in different kits? I guess not. Was certainly very surprised to find that to be the case

I guess all I can do then is try to return my U200 lite and get another U200 kit.
