Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with the Monoprice window sensors I’ve been using. Pairing the first sensor was a breeze, but the second one gave me quite the challenge! After multiple attempts, I realized the device was already paired but my hub wasn’t recognizing it. I had to reset it using the manual steps from the Monoprice guide and force the hub into exclusion mode. Once that was done, pairing worked like a charm!
I also tried using a custom device code from FlorianZ to get battery stats, but unfortunately, that didn’t work out. However, the open/close detection is rock solid, which is what I needed most. I’d love to hear if anyone else has success with battery stats on these sensors!
For anyone struggling with similar issues, I recommend thoroughly reviewing the manual and ensuring your hub is in the correct mode. It might take a few tries, but patience pays off in the end. Happy automating!
