Hello everyone!
I hope you’re all having a wonderful day. I wanted to share a little dilemma I’m facing and hopefully get some advice from the community.
I’m in the process of moving my room from downstairs to upstairs, and I absolutely love my Govee lights. They’ve been such a great addition to my space, but I’m worried about damaging the paint or ruining the adhesive on the back when I move them. I’ve heard that once they’re stuck, it’s really hard to remove them without leaving residue or ruining the sticky part.
Has anyone else gone through this? I’ve got two extra tiles, but if I ruin more, it won’t be helpful. Any tips on how to safely remove and reattach them? I’d love to hear your suggestions! ![]()
On a lighter note, I’ve been exploring some new Govee devices lately and I’m really impressed with their app integration. It’s so seamless to control everything from one place, and the designs are just stunning. I can’t wait to see what they come up with next! ![]()
Here are a few tips I’ve picked up along the way:
- Always test the adhesive on a small, inconspicuous area first.
- Use a soft cloth to clean the surface before applying the adhesive.
- If you’re moving the lights, try to do it when the surface is slightly warm to make the adhesive less sticky.
If anyone has any additional tips or tricks, I’d love to hear them! Thank you all for being such a supportive community. Let’s keep the ideas flowing! ![]()
