I have a 1930’s House in UK. I have a few Automations in my home:
Ground Floor: This is open plan. I have 3 FP300 sensors, 2 T1 light strips and a Sonoff matter relay switch. Kitchen lights come on as soon as presence is detected at any sensor + light is below 80 Lumen. Then it switches off as soon as no presence is detected.
Stairway: I have 1 FP2 sensor, several T1 light strips connected together. The Typical stairway LED when presence is detected and off when no presence is found.
In living room: I have 1 FP2 sensor near the house entrance door and another Sonoff Matter Relay connected to living room lights. It switches on lights when presence is detected and light is below 80 lumen. Hence if my wife or me comes home after sunset, the living room lights come off.
Blinds: I have 1 T1s Roller Shade in main bedroom and . I have 2 E1 roller shade controller for my office and Kitchen blinds respectively. All three open at sunrise and close at sunset.
House entrance: I have U200, G410 and a door close sensor. I have facial recognition to open main door but its very slow.
Here is my 2027 Wish list:
Please release U300 or another NFC door lock for UK. Would love some automation to open front door when my wife and me do our weekly grocery shopping.
Anything that can control our Panasonic Air Conditioning/Heating units.
Matter supported Blind controller.
Discounts on FP300 (I need a lot more these in my home).
@varunkryadav Hey Varun! Love seeing your setup in that classic 1930s UK home — you’ve really built out a solid ecosystem with those FP300s, FP2s, and the U200/G410 combo at the entrance. The open-plan ground floor with presence-based lighting sounds like it flows really nicely.
Great to hear you’re eyeing the U300 for UK release! From what we know, the U300 does support NFC access and has some handy automation triggers (lock/unlock states, not fully locked alerts) that could definitely help with that grocery-hands-full scenario. It’s also built to handle outdoor conditions and has that passage mode for quick entry without fumbling for credentials. Fingers crossed on regional availability — that’s always the waiting game.
For your other wishes (Panasonic AC control, Matter blind controllers, and those FP300 discounts), I totally get the appetite for more native Matter support throughout the home. The FP300 already plays nice with both Thread and Zigbee, plus Matter ecosystems when you’ve got the right border router setup, so you’re in a good position to expand.
Since a few of these are product requests and regional availability questions, the most effective next step would be to flag these directly to the team who can actually nudge the right people.
