I’ve recently been on a mission to integrate multiple smart cameras into my home security setup, and I wanted to share my experiences and tips with the community.

Starting with the Wyze Cam V2, it’s been a fantastic addition to my setup. The app works seamlessly, and I love how easy it is to access live feeds and recordings. However, I ran into a bit of a snag when trying to monitor multiple cameras simultaneously. The Wyze app, like many others, only allows viewing one camera at a time, which can be a bit inconvenient if you’re keeping an eye on different areas of your home. ![]()

After some research, I stumbled upon TinyCam, which seemed like the perfect solution. It promised to support multiple cameras and even had features like motion detection and recording. Unfortunately, getting it to work with my Wyze cameras wasn’t straightforward. The app scans a range of IP addresses, but my Wyze cameras were on a different subnet, which TinyCam didn’t seem to handle well. ![]()
After a bit of trial and error, I discovered that manually entering the IP addresses of my cameras into TinyCam was the key. It took some time to set up, but now I can view all my cameras in a grid layout, which is incredibly handy. Plus, the motion detection feature has already proven to be useful, alerting me to any unexpected activity. ![]()
For anyone else looking to integrate multiple cameras, here are a few tips I’ve picked up along the way:
- Check your camera’s IP address beforehand to ensure compatibility with third-party apps.
- Experiment with different apps if your primary camera app doesn’t support multi-camera viewing.
- Customize your layout in apps like TinyCam to suit your monitoring needs—whether it’s a grid view or individual windows.
While this setup isn’t perfect, it’s definitely been a game-changer for my home security. I’d love to hear how others have tackled multi-camera setups and any additional tips or tricks you might have! ![]()
