My Favorite Govee Devices and a Philips HUE Sunrise Project

Hey everyone! I wanted to share some of my favorite Govee devices and a cool project I’ve been working on with Philips HUE. :star2:

Govee Favorites:
I absolutely love my Govee Glide and Aura lights. The Glide has been a game-changer for creating ambient lighting in my living room, and the Aura’s vibrant colors are perfect for setting the mood during gatherings. The app integration is smooth, and the customization options are endless! :bulb::sparkles:

Philips HUE Sunrise Project:
I’ve been using a Philips wake-up light for a while now, but I decided to upgrade it using Philips HUE. I set up a script that gradually transitions through different colors to mimic a sunrise, helping me feel more refreshed in the morning. Here’s a quick overview of how I did it:

  1. Setup: I used a Philips HUE white + color bulb and created a sequence in Home Assistant that transitions through four color states over 30 minutes.
  2. Integration: I integrated this with the Sleep as Android app using Tasker. The alarm starts 24 minutes before my wake-up time, triggering the sunrise script.
  3. Result: It’s been a fantastic way to start the day! The gradual light transition makes waking up much easier.
