Hey Govee community! I wanted to share my experience with the Govee Smart Tower Fan (H7101). I’ve had it for about two months now, and it’s been a fantastic addition to my home. The air quality sensor and smart controls make it super convenient to manage airflow, especially during the summer months. I left a full review, but always felt like something was missing.
Now that the Tower Fan is close to being released to the public, I’ve seen people talking about things they either hope to see or think need to be added. One comment that stuck out to me was from @Gilgamesh, who mentioned the potential for integrating lighting. That got me thinking—why not combine the fan with some smart lighting for a complete ambiance solution?
I decided to take it a step further and created a DIY project to add customizable lighting to my Smart Tower Fan. Using some RGB LED strips and a Govee smart plug, I was able to sync the lighting with the fan’s settings. It’s been a blast experimenting with different color combinations and scenes to match the mood of the room.
Here’s how I did it:
- Materials Needed: RGB LED strips, a Govee smart plug, and some adhesive tape.
- Setup: Wrapped the LED strips around the base of the fan and connected them to the smart plug.
- Integration: Used the Govee app to create scenes that link the lighting to the fan’s speed settings.
This project has taken my Smart Tower Fan to the next level, and I can’t wait to see what others come up with! If you have any suggestions or questions, feel free to drop a comment below. Let’s keep the creativity flowing! ![]()
