Here’s a simple and super useful automation that lets me know if the gates are open when we let the cats in the backyard. Our cats are indoor cats, and we intentionally installed a vinyl fence so that they could not climb it. However, I am often going in and out of the gates that lead to the front yard, and we kept letting the cats out the back door when I had left the gate open. This triggers a visual indicator to remind us to close the gates or keep the cats inside. I found it super useful. What do you think?
