Hey everyone! I just wanted to share my recent experience with Govee’s Curtain DIY feature. It’s been a blast experimenting with different designs and effects for my home. I recently came across the weekly DIY catalog, and I must say, it’s incredibly inspiring to see the variety of themes they offer. From retro gaming vibes to seasonal decorations, there’s something for everyone!
I decided to try out the Super Mario Bros theme for my living room curtains. It was surprisingly easy to install once I figured out the right settings. I stumbled a bit at first with the initial setup, but after watching a couple of tutorials, it all clicked into place. The app’s interface is user-friendly, and the preview feature, despite its occasional hiccups, gave me a good idea of what to expect.
One of the features I absolutely love is the ColorSync option. It allows me to sync the curtain effects with my Govee LED strips, creating a cohesive and immersive ambiance. I’ve even set up a few automations using the Govee app to trigger specific scenes at certain times of the day. For example, in the mornings, my curtains cycle through calming sunrise hues to gently wake me up, and in the evenings, they transition to softer tones to help me wind down.
While I haven’t run into any major issues yet, I do hope Govee continues to improve the preview functionality. It would be fantastic to see the effects in real-time before committing to them. That said, the ability to save and share DIYs is a huge plus, and I’ve already bookmarked a few for future projects.
I encourage anyone who hasn’t tried Govee’s Curtain DIY to give it a shot. It’s a fantastic way to add a personal touch to your smart home setup and experiment with creative lighting solutions. Let me know if you have any tips or favorite themes you’ve tried!
Cheers, and happy DIY-ing! ![]()
