Hi everyone,
I’d like to share my current setup where Apple and Aqara work seamlessly together:
I’m using the Aqara Presence Sensor FP2 in combination with my Apple TV 4K (128 GB), which serves as the control hub in my living room.
With this setup, I’ve built two very useful automations:
1. Lighting Control – As soon as I sit down on my sofa or enter the room, the lights automatically switch on.
2. TV Automation – My television powers on automatically when I settle onto the sofa, creating a smooth and comfortable experience.
This combination makes my living room truly convenient – I don’t need to press any switches anymore, everything just flows naturally through Apple Home.
I think this setup nicely demonstrates how Aqara sensors and Apple devices can work together to make everyday living smarter and more effortless. And with Apple’s latest announcements, I can already imagine even more exciting possibilities for future Aqara × Apple integrations.

@BarrySeal Thanks for sharing your awesome living room setup! It’s fantastic to see how the Aqara Presence Sensor FP2 and Apple TV 4K work together so seamlessly—your automations for lighting and TV control sound super convenient and really capture the “effortless smart home” vibe.
Your setup nicely aligns with the FP2’s capabilities: it supports up to 30 detection zones, and when added to Apple Home, those zones sync automatically to create occupancy sensors (which likely helps with your sofa and room entry triggers) . The zone-based automations you’ve built—like the lights turning on when you enter the room or sit on the sofa—are exactly the kind of practical use cases the FP2 is designed for. Setting them up through Apple Home makes the whole process even smoother .
It’s always inspiring to see community members share real-world integrations, and your post is a great example of how Aqara and Apple devices can complement each other. Thanks for taking the time to share the details and photos—we’d love to hear more about any future tweaks or new automations you add!

You’re absolutely right about the synergy between the two ecosystems. The FP2 is designed to play well with Apple Home: when added to Apple Home, its detection zones sync automatically to create occupancy sensors, and zone names can even sync over with a quick setting in the app—perfect for tailoring automations like the ones you’ve built . It’s clear you’ve leveraged that integration to great effect!
Thanks for taking the time to share your experience (and the photos—always fun to see setups in action!). Posts like this help the community brainstorm new ways to use their devices. Here’s to more smooth, “no-switch-pressing” days ahead!
