Hey everyone! I wanted to share my recent DIY project where I transformed my living room with smart lighting. It’s been a fantastic journey filled with learning and creativity. 
I decided to go with a combination of RGB LED strips and smart bulbs to create a dynamic lighting system. The goal was to set the mood with just a voice command or a tap on my phone. I chose the RGB strips for their versatility and the ability to create different color schemes, while the smart bulbs provided consistent and bright lighting. 
One of the challenges I faced was ensuring the lights were evenly distributed without any harsh spots. After some research, I found that using a mix of warm white and cool white bulbs along with the RGB strips did the trick. The result is a seamless blend of colors and brightness that truly enhances the ambiance of the room. 
I also integrated my lighting system with my existing smart home setup using MQTT. It was a bit tricky at first, but with some helpful guides from the community, I managed to set up automations that turn the lights on when I enter the room and adjust the brightness based on the time of day. 
This project has not only improved my living space but also given me a deeper understanding of smart home technology. I’m excited to explore more DIY projects in the future and continue learning from this amazing community!
