Hello everyone! I wanted to share my recent experience setting up my smart home system. It’s been a fantastic journey, and I’m excited to see how everything works together. I started by integrating my Govee RGBW LAN lights, which have been a breeze to set up using the Hubitat app. The vibrant colors and smooth transitions really brighten up my space!
Next, I tackled the Neato BotVac D7, which has been a game-changer for my cleaning routine. I was initially concerned about setting up zone cleaning with no-go lines, but the Neato app made it straightforward. I’ve even managed to create flows where the robot cleans specific areas when I leave the house, thanks to the Homey integration. It’s pretty cool to come back to a spotless home!
One thing I’m still exploring is the best way to automate my lights based on motion sensors. I’ve set up motion-activated lights in my kitchen and backyard, but I’m looking for tips on how to ensure they turn off reliably after a period of inactivity. Any suggestions from the community would be greatly appreciated!
Overall, the process has been both rewarding and a bit challenging, but the satisfaction of having a well-integrated smart home system is worth every moment. I can’t wait to see what other innovations I can incorporate in the future. Happy smart home building to all!
