I wanted to share my recent success in integrating smart lighting and automation in my home. After spending weeks researching and planning, I finally managed to set up a system that not only enhances my daily life but also adds a touch of elegance to my living spaces. 
One of the key challenges I faced was ensuring compatibility between different brands and devices. I was particularly impressed with the Heiman Zigbee 3.0 LED strip, which I paired with my Hubitat system. While it initially only recognized the color temperature, I discovered that using Deconz alongside Hubitat allowed me to fully control the color settings. This was a game-changer for creating ambiance in my living room! 
Another highlight was integrating my Z-Wave relay module to control my garage gate. I was hesitant to switch from my old X10 setup, but the Mimo2+ module exceeded my expectations. It seamlessly handled the latching mechanism and worked perfectly with my geofencing setup, automatically opening and closing the gate as I approach or leave my home.
