Need help with automation?

Hello, I need some help. I bought the FP300 and I have Philips Hue lights. I put the FP300 in the kitchen and set up an automation so that the lights turn on when I enter the kitchen. I also set up another automation with a timer to turn the lights off when no one is there. But the problem is that when the lights turn off, if I go back into the kitchen, they don’t turn back on immediately.
How can I fix this?
I’m only using the Aqara app to create the automations.

How much time is passing between when you leave and when you come back? Are you sure the FP300 is picking up your presence on the return visits? I would confirm that the sensor is reporting correctly and run the AI Spatial learning if it’s not.

If it is, let’s check the automations. Can you share screenshots of how you set up both? Let’s look at the triggers, conditions and actions just to be sure things are optimal.

Yes, the FP300 detects my return correctly. Actually, it’s when the light turns off when there’s no one there. If I go back into the kitchen a few seconds later, or even immediately, the light doesn’t turn back on. And the FP300 does detect my presence.

I managed to fix my problem. I set a condition so the light would turn on at a certain brightness level. The problem I was having was that when the light turned off, there was a slight delay in the FP300’s brightness sensor responding. I set the light sensor to high frequency in the settings.

Thank you for your help.

You can also set a time under “Duration”. In this case, the brightness value must be reached within the specified time (for example, 10 seconds) to prevent the automation from being triggered by rapid changes in lighting conditions.

This will stop your lights from turning on during the next thunderstorm
