Hi everyone, I’m hoping someone can help me with an issue I’m having with my Nest Thermostat. I have two thermostats controlling separate heat pumps in my home. The problem is that the thermostats aren’t switching the home mode from ‘Away’ to ‘Home’ based on motion detection. Instead, it relies on my phone’s location, which isn’t ideal since there are often people at home even when I’m not present.
Previously, with my old Gen 2 thermostats, they would automatically switch to ‘Home’ mode if any motion was detected. However, the new Gen 4 thermostats don’t seem to do this. I’ve tried adjusting the settings in the Google app, but nothing seems to work. I really want the thermostats to switch modes based on motion rather than my phone’s location.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for your help.
