Network error 106

I’ve been getting network error 106 for about three days now. I haven’t changed anything, no updates, nothing. It’s no longer working. When I try to open the Aqara app, I always get the same error; I have no access anymore.

There was a recent network error 104 in the forum where several people also lost access. It turned out that Aqara had a problem. Could that be the case here as well?

Hello @powermo
Error 106 in the Aqara Home app is usually caused by a connection issue with the Aqara servers.
Check your internet connection: Make sure your phone and the Aqara hub (if connected) have a stable internet connection.
Restart your devices: Restart them in the following order:
Your router/modem.
Aqara hub (if used).
Your smartphone.
Check the status of the Aqara servers: Sometimes the error occurs due to temporary issues or maintenance on the Aqara servers. In this case, simply wait a while (from 30 minutes to several hours) and try again.
Try a different network: If possible, connect your phone to a different Wi-Fi network or use mobile data (3G/4G/5G) to rule out issues with your primary network.
Clear the app cache (for Android): Go to phone Settings → Applications → Aqara Home → Storage → Clear Cache.
Reinstall the app: Uninstall and reinstall the Aqara Home app from the official store.
If the issue persists:
Please contact Aqara technical support.

There’s no error on my end! Interestingly, the tablet was working fine until yesterday, and Alexa could access it too. Since today, I’m getting the same error on the tablet, and Alexa is reporting that the server is unreachable.

Damn, I found the bug. I don’t usually update the app because “never change a running system.” It’s worked for years, especially important on my tablet since it’s built into the wall and I can’t install a newer Aqara version with Android 7. Aqara seems to have changed something so that older apps no longer have access. I installed the latest app on another device and I have immediate access there. I also no longer have access via the older Alexa app, but that one has far more dependencies on other systems, so i wont update.

Something must have been done by Aqara in the last few days, because everything was still working fine for me last week.
