Never worry about leaving a window open and the AC or Heater turning on

I’ve placed a mixture of Aqara and Eve door/window sensors on all my windows and sliding patio doors. I’ve setup two Apple Home automations to trigger. One when any of those windows or doors open, and the other when they close.

When any one of them open, I set my Ecobee thermostat to away mode.
When one of them close, the automation checks that All of them are closed before resuming the Ecobee schedule.

I had to create the second automation in a 3rd party app to do the logic, which Apple home supports but doesn’t allow you to directly create.
If anyone wants a SS of my automations, let me know.

Thank you for sharing. I hadn’t thought about linking the windows to the a/c. My wife has a tendency to open the windows on a rare cool low humidity day in south Texas to forget to turn the a/c off. This would be a perfect automation if the windows are open for more than a few minutes. Thanks for the inspiration!
