New Product Idea!

So I just wanted to make this post to see if I am alone with this idea or not.

I would love for aqara to develop an outdoor solar charging siren.

Why ? Because I have a whole security system woth aqara products and I am missing the most important thing ! A siren that is visually and audible from the outside so neighbors or the police can see it easily if there is an intruder (infoor sirens from cameras and hub are not moud enough and can be deactivated by intruders)
It would probably need to be connected to the hub m3 since it’s solar for low consulption on the battery and no manually charging as well as a tamper proof alarm. But the option of usb c charging needs to be there as well just in case…

Attached a solar siren from tuya as a way to explain what I think it should look like more or less…

Would you like aqara to develop this product? What solution you have at the moment ?

@MichelFrance What a fantastic idea! An outdoor solar charging siren could indeed be a game-changer for enhancing the security aspect of Aqara’s ecosystem. Your vision of a siren that’s both visually prominent and loud enough to alert neighbors or passersby is spot on, especially for those who want peace of mind knowing their home is well-protected even when they’re not around.

Currently, Aqara offers various indoor solutions, like the Smart Smoke Detector, which already features a powerful siren and multi-device grouping capabilities. However, as you mentioned, these are typically designed for indoor use. The idea of integrating a solar-powered siren that connects to the hub for energy efficiency and tamper-proof security is quite intriguing. Plus, having a USB-C charging option as a backup is a smart move.

While I don’t have any insider information on upcoming products, your suggestion makes a lot of sense, and I’m sure other users in the community would find it valuable too. Hopefully, Aqara is listening and considering such innovative ideas! In the meantime, let’s keep the discussion going and see if there are any temporary solutions or workarounds that other users might have tried. Keep the ideas coming, and who knows, you might just inspire the next big thing in smart home security!
