New Product Suggestion: Zigbee Fridge / Freezer Temperature Sensor

It would’ve nice to have a temperature sensor dedicated for a Fridge & Freezer.

Our outhouse fridge / freezer (which is intended for non heated rooms) randomly defrosts frozen items so I lost all confidence in it.

I’m now using Temp/Humidity sensors which have been working for some time (even though they are not designed for this purpose).

It’s a risk I am willing to take to ensure my freezer stays within an acceptable range and know if food has defrosted.

Aqara, please develop a Zigbee Temperature sensor for this purpose

Hello, the classic Aqara temperature sensor (square) proudly performs this function. I placed the sensor in a small jar (baby food), closed it tightly with a lid (to remove temperature fluctuations and unnecessary humidity) and placed it in the freezer. I added this sensor to the “basic home control” control and set the temperature to “-6°C” for the “alarm” signal

That’s what I’m using now (although, not in a jar) .
