Happy New Year everyone! 
As we kick off 2024, I wanted to share my personal goals and how I plan to integrate my smart home setup to make this year even more productive and enjoyable!
This year, I’ve set some exciting objectives. First and foremost, I aim to learn a new trade that will not only enhance my skills but also allow me to contribute more effectively to my smart home projects. Whether it’s mastering a new software tool or understanding complex automation logic, I’m committed to growth.
Another key focus is educating myself through user manuals and reading material. I’ve found that diving deep into the documentation of my devices, like my Govee LED strips or my Denon AVR-X2000, has opened up a world of customization and efficiency. I can’t wait to uncover more hidden features and optimize my setup further.
But it’s not all about gadgets and gizmos. I’ve also made a conscious effort to be more mindful and grateful. Taking a moment each day to appreciate the little things—like the convenience of my smart lights or the peace of mind from my security cameras—has already made a positive impact on my daily life.
Professionally, I’m looking to advance my career by taking on new challenges. Whether it’s leading a smart home project or collaborating with others in the community, I’m ready to step out of my comfort zone and learn from every experience.
One area I’m particularly excited about is expanding my smart home automation. I’ve been experimenting with Node-RED to create more dynamic and responsive systems. For instance, I’ve set up a routine where my bathroom lights adjust based on the time of day and my motion sensor input. It’s these little touches that make my home feel truly intelligent.
