I recently installed the Aqara Smart wall switch - No neutral single rocker.
It also supports homekit.
This item is a game changer for those places that do not have a neutral wire - as adding one is expensive, and most smart switches require one.
I found the wiring instructions to be inadequate but figured it out after I resorted to Chat GPT to make sure I was doing it correctly.
Once connected it worked fine in the Aqara app and then figured there would be instructions on connecting it to homekit.
There is NOTHING about homekit.
It does requires an Aqara hub - which I do have and that does show up in apple home.
By accident I discovered that the switch showed up in my default room in the Apple home app.
Every other device has given me a QR code to scan or a code to enter into the apple home app - and it now works.
I JUST discovered a QR code on the last page of the manual - but there is no code and no instructions about that.
C’mon Aqara ! Some sort of instructions would be useful!

In the Aqara app, go to Hub Settings → HomeKit Setup.
Scan the HomeKit QR code on the hub.
It will appear in the Apple Home app with all connected devices.

I do not see Home settings>Homekit setup in my Aqara app.
I DO see that my Aqara hub is already connected to homekit.
I see no way to add another Aqara device by scanning a QR code
In contrast Chat GPT says (once the device is paired to your Aqara app):
“Let HomeKit auto-sync it
• Once the device is connected to the hub in the Aqara app, the G5 Pro will expose it to Apple Home automatically.
• Open the Apple Home app, and the new device should appear.
• Sometimes you’ll get a “new accessory found” notification and can assign it to a room.”
Regardless, you I don’t understand why Aqara provides no guidance on this.
If we need the QR code, the manual gives no clue as to where to find it. I just stumbled into it (on the last page of my printed manual) and I’m not sure it has anything to do with homekit.
