I’ve recently embarked on a journey to set up my own Home Assistant setup, and I’m thrilled to share my experience! After being frustrated with Alexa’s constant ads and interruptions, I decided it was time for a change. I came across the Odroid 4GB enthusiast bundle and an Asus 15” touchscreen monitor, which seemed like the perfect combination to replace my Alexa Show in the kitchen.
One of my main questions was whether I could run Fully Kiosk on the same device as my Home Assistant hub. From what I’ve researched, many users opt for a separate Android tablet for Fully Kiosk, but I was hopeful about using the bigger screen without needing an extra device. After some digging, it seems possible, but I’m still looking for confirmation from the community.
I’ve set up the Odroid and touchscreen, and it’s running smoothly so far. The integration with Home Assistant has been seamless, and I’m excited to explore how Fully Kiosk can enhance my setup. If anyone has experience running Fully Kiosk alongside Home Assistant on the same device, I’d love to hear your insights!
This project has been a great learning experience, and I’m eager to continue refining my setup. Thanks to everyone in the community for the support and resources—your contributions make projects like mine possible!
