One of four FP300s constantly offline

I have 4 fp300s, that initially I deployed using zigbee. My zigbee mesh is not very large and I was having some coverage issues (so I thought) where fp300s would get stuck as “occupied” for hours at a time, or go offline for days at a time.

I took the plunge and swapped all 4 over to Matter, and 3 of the 4 are now working fine. They are all within 50’ of each other, but 1 of the 4 is just perpetually falling offline despite being within feet of another fp300 as well as a powered Matter outlet.

If I remove the battery for a period of time, the problematic unit will come back online for a few minutes before going “Unavailable” again forever.

Any tips on what I can do to get this one working? It’s reporting full battery, I’ve tried resetting it, etc to no avail.

hi Lupus, regarding your FP300’s falling offline when they were on zigbee network, did you have any powered main’s nearby? Sounds like maybe no.

Regarding one of the four of them still falling off still when moved over to the FW Matter over Thread, 1- battery powered matter over thread devices are not Thread routers so two FP300’s next to each other will unfortunately not help each other. Also, not all powered powered Matter over Thread smart outlets are Thread routers :(. You didnt mention the ecosystem you are using. But I know from using Apple Home and Home Assistant together at my house (I can tell from HA, what Thread powered devices are acting as routers or not).

thanks!

Aside from the matter outlet (if it is a border router) what other thread border routers do you have in your setup?
