Opener Setup Troubleshooting and Solution

I recently tried setting up my Opener, but I hit a snag during the process. After completing the initial steps, I encountered an error message stating that I needed to be connected via Bluetooth or the Nuki Bridge. Despite being in close proximity to both the Opener and the bridge, the setup wouldn’t proceed. I retried the process multiple times through the app and even via the settings menu, but the issue persisted.

To troubleshoot, I checked the connection status in the app and noticed that the bridge wasn’t online. This was puzzling because the bridge had been functioning correctly during installation. I decided to reset the bridge and reconfigure it, but the problem remained.

After some research, I discovered that the bridge might need a firmware update. I updated the bridge’s firmware through the app, and to my relief, it connected successfully afterward. The Opener setup then completed without further issues.

This experience taught me the importance of checking firmware updates and ensuring all devices are up to date. If anyone else is facing similar problems, I recommend verifying the bridge’s connection and updating its firmware as a first step. It’s also worth exploring alternative connection methods if Bluetooth isn’t reliable in your setup.
