I’ve been working on fine-tuning my home security setup, and I wanted to share some insights and ask for advice from the community. My main goal is to reduce false alarms from my contact sensors, especially during the night when the house is quiet.
I recently upgraded to a Konnected Pro board and integrated it with my Honeywell thermostat. It’s been working well, but there’s been an issue with the master window sensor triggering the alarm randomly at odd hours. The logs show the contact opening several times, but the alarm only goes off once, which is puzzling.
I’ve checked the settings and confirmed that the sensor is set to bypass when open during night mode. However, the system still triggers the alarm occasionally. I’m wondering if there’s a delay or sensitivity setting I’m missing that could cause this behavior.
For anyone else dealing with similar issues, I’d love to hear how you’ve optimized your alarm systems. Have you encountered situations where sensors trigger alarms unexpectedly, and how did you resolve them? Any tips on adjusting sensitivity or implementing delays would be greatly appreciated.
