Optimizing Bathroom Lighting with Silvercrest Motion Detection

I recently decided to enhance my bathroom lighting setup using the Silvercrest motion detector, and I must say, it’s been a fascinating journey! :rocket: I wanted to create a seamless experience where the lights automatically turn on when someone enters and off when they leave. Initially, I set up a simple automation: motion detected → lights on → delay → lights off. However, it wasn’t as smooth as I hoped, especially with the detector’s 70-second timeout. :arrows_counterclockwise:

After some trial and error, I discovered that adjusting the automation mode to RESTART made a significant difference. This way, each motion detection resets the timer, ensuring the lights stay on as long as someone is in the room. It’s a small tweak, but it makes a world of difference! :bulb:

I’d love to hear if anyone else has tips or tricks for optimizing motion detection in bathrooms. Have you found a perfect balance between convenience and energy efficiency? Let’s share our experiences! :handshake:
