Hi everyone, I’ve been exploring the new FRITZ!Box integration in Home Assistant and wanted to share my experience and a question I have. After setting up the integration, I noticed that it automatically adds device trackers for all known devices on my Fritz router. While this feature is undoubtedly useful for some users, I only need the Fritz devices themselves (like my router and repeater) and not the additional 300+ device trackers.
I’ve been using the old custom integration for FRITZ!Box Tools, which only adds the router and repeater, and I’d love to stick with that behavior. Has anyone else encountered this and found a way to disable the automatic addition of device trackers during the integration setup? I came across an issue on GitHub suggesting the possibility of adding include/exclude options, but I’m not sure how to implement it myself.
If there’s no built-in way to do this yet, I’d really appreciate any workarounds or suggestions the community might have. In the meantime, I’ll keep using the old integration until a more flexible solution becomes available. Thanks in advance for your help and insights!
