The sensitivity level is displayed as a number, but it wasn’t immediately clear what each number represented. After some experimentation and research, I discovered that adjusting the sensitivity based on specific guidelines can significantly enhance performance.For instance, setting the sensitivity to 50 seemed ideal for my hallway, as it detected movement effectively without triggering false alarms. I later learned that lower numbers correspond to higher sensitivity, which is crucial for tailoring the settings to different environments.Another challenge I faced was managing repetitive notifications from my laundry dryer sensor. Initially, I received continuous alerts every 90 seconds, which was quite intrusive. To resolve this, I explored creating a rule within my smart home system to limit notifications to a single alert when the dryer finished. This approach not only reduced the number of notifications but also made the system more user-friendly.In addition to these experiences, I wanted to share a tip regarding smart bulbs. While they are versatile and energy-efficient, using them as Zigbee repeaters can sometimes cause network instability. I now prefer non-repeater bulbs to maintain a stable network connection, especially after encountering some connectivity issues earlier this year.Overall, integrating smart devices into my home has been a rewarding experience. By fine-tuning settings and leveraging automation rules, I’ve been able to create a seamless and efficient smart home ecosystem.
