I recently integrated my Meross smart plugs into Home Assistant using the gas section of the energy dashboard. It’s been a great way to track consumption, but I’ve noticed some quirks. For instance, the Meross app reports consumption with a comma, which seems to confuse Home Assistant. Has anyone else encountered this, and if so, how did you resolve it? Also, I’d love to get rid of those pesky decimal points in the consumption display—any tips on that?
Another area I’m exploring is setting up daily, weekly, and monthly consumption summaries. I’ve seen some dashboards that aggregate this data beautifully, but I’m not quite sure how to implement it myself. If anyone has a go-to tutorial or method for this, I’d be grateful for the guidance!
On the automation front, I’ve been experimenting with using my smart plugs to control lighting based on illuminance levels. However, I’ve run into an issue where the lights activate even when the illuminance increases above the set threshold. It’s a bit frustrating, but I’m hopeful there’s a workaround.
